Quest PR’s Sharon Cain and Helen Flannery put their best feet forward and joined a 12,000 -strong throng of runners for the Age UK 29th Abbey Dash. It was fantastic to be part of the energetic and vibrant atmosphere – and among a diversity of age groups spanning teenagers to 70 plus year olds.
Yorkshire folk are notorious for putting something back into their local communities and we wanted to acknowledge some of the other runs you can take part in and boost a myriad of worthy causes.
Our region is on an export roll – with a recent Barclays survey highlighting their climb to a value of £4.4bn in the last quarter – up 4.5 per cent on the previous three months.
Yorkshire and the Humber was the only northern region to show second quarter growth, with the boost attributed to companies targeting the Asian and North American markets.

It was energising and inspiring to see and hear the dynamic success stories of the region’s star business performers as a guest of the exclusive Growth 100 Awards Lunch attended by Yorkshire’s chief executives.
The event, which celebrates Yorkshire’s fastest growing companies, saw Lambert Automation scoop the ultimate accolade – the Gold Medal Award – as well as the Innovation Award.
